Driveway Replacement

Conditions of Permit for Driveway Replacement

Asphalt:

(1) Minimum 6” compacted base (grade 8 or 9 crushed stone)

(2) Minimum 2” bituminous surface

Brick:

(1) Minimum 6” compacted base (grade 8 or 9 crushed stone)

Concrete:

(1) Minimum 6” compacted base (grade 8 or 9 crushed stone)

(2) Minimum 4” concrete

Required inspections:  (1) Base and (2) Final. All disturbed areas shall be stabilized with topsoil, seed and erosion control blanket or sod. All debris (including dumpster, port-o-let, etc.) shall be removed from site prior to a final.  

Conditions of Permit for Culvert Replacement

(1) Minimum 15” diameter corrugated metal

(2) Minimum 6’ on each side of driveway

(3) Flared ends required

Required inspections:       (1) Base, prior to culvert placement (2) Final inspection. All disturbed areas shall be stabilized with topsoil, seed and erosion control blanket or sod. All debris (including dumpster, port-o-let, etc.) shall be removed from site prior to a final.

ALL PERMITS:

1. A Long Grove Building Department approved set of construction documents must be on-site available for inspections. {Section:  2015 International Residential Code R106.3.1}
2. All construction shall comply with the Village of Long Grove codes, amendments, and ordinances.
3. All debris, including dumpster, shall be removed from site prior to a final.
4. Final site shall be stabilized with topsoil, seed and erosion control blanket or sod prior to a final (where applicable).
5. CONSTRUCTION HOURS:  Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. , Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Construction on Sunday permitted only by an occupant on own residence 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. {Ordinance No. 2003-O-26}.
