Enjoy some time outdoors, pick up winter debris and trash, and keep Long Grove green. Litter collected can be left at the roadside in garbage bags, and will be picked up by Waste Management during the week of April 22nd.
Pavement work on the west end of the site is ongoing, and storm sewer progress is being made west of Twin Oaks on the south side of Aptakisic. Work will continue next week, and crews will also install traffic signal fiber optic cable. We ask that drivers use caution watching out for crew members and work vehicles.
Greg's visits to the village hall were always uplifting. We are grateful for his many years of service to residents and business owners and wish him well in the next chapters of his life.

Next week crews will continue storm sewer work and begin excavation for the new road base. Additionally, Com Ed will perform utility relocation work on the south side of Aptakisic Rd just west of Brandywyn Lane. Please use caution, look for crew members and vehicles entering/leaving the job site. 🚧
Prior to joining us, Chris held key positions at the Village of Grayslake, most recently serving as the Assistant Village Manager. Chris holds a Master of Business Administration from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky.
Village President Bill Jacob stated, “Our Board of Trustees interviewed numerous candidates and selected Chris because of his proven track record of effective governance and community development. His expertise in strategic planning, budget management, and stakeholder engagement will help our Village tremendously.”

Road crew members will be doing some miscellaneous clean up work for the remainder of this week. Next week, road construction will resume on the south side of Aptakisic Road between IL 83 and Buffalo Grove Rd. Crews will start pavement grinding to remove the old road.
Workers will be in the closed lane on the south side of Aptakisic Road. We ask drivers to use caution, as trucks will be in and out of the job site.
The reason, another movie will be filmed here shortly. Hollywood TV and movie star Mario Lopez will be in a new Christmas movie, with filming taking place between March 25th-April 12th. In fact, additional decorations will be installed during the production, so we can all enjoy Christmas in April this year. Movie productions present a wonderful opportunity for additional commerce in our Village. We look forward to the excitement and wonderful publicity this production will bring to Long Grove.
